This Is My Story
There were a lot of recruiters around me that seemed to focus on placing reps and making money. They didn’t worry about whether a position would be the best move for a candidate, or if the candidate would be a great fit for the company. They saw nothing amiss with taking on clients that didn’t care about their sales force, that simply wanted to exploit talent to make money. I was disillusioned; I started to think this was just the way business was done.
But I had the wrong mindset. It took me a while, but I realized that what I loved about classroom teaching was taking my knowledge and passing it to kids, helping them learn and grow and ultimately helping them become a better version of themselves. Making my classes a unique experience took energy and dedication, but it was a point of pride. I didn’t want to be just any teacher–I wanted my students to remember learning with me.
